about me

How I approach product design

My background spans music, visual design, and product design. Early on, I learned how to break down sample-based compositions and bring different elements together into a cohesive whole.

That way of thinking continues to shape how I approach product design.

I focus on how systems are structured, how people move through them, and where confusion or errors are introduced. Rather than adding more instructions, I design experiences that guide behavior and make the next step clear.

This approach led me to product design, where I’ve worked across mobile and web in environments shaped by constraints, legacy systems, and cross-team dependencies.

Over time, my work has focused on helping teams turn unclear and error-prone processes into guided workflows that are easier to understand and complete.

Creative work outside of product design

My work outside of product design continues to influence how I think about structure, systems, and experience.

I’ve placed music in ads, film, and television, where timing, pacing, and composition shape how people engage with a story.

I’ve also designed physical products, including footwear, where form, function, and material constraints must come together into a cohesive experience.

My wife and I own and operate a flower shop in San Francisco, designing arrangements and experiences that are both functional and expressive.

Where I do my best work

I do my best work on complex systems where design plays a critical role in shaping behavior, improving clarity, and helping teams make better product decisions.
